Hi everyone,
The translation templates were just updated with the latest terms, including:
- addition of several missing terms in the web client, thanks to a contribution by Csaba Tóth [1]
- removal of duplicated constraints messages, previously copied in all modules that shared a common object with constraints, causing about 400 useless duplicated terms [2]
- update of all templates according to the latest changes
- most l10n_* modules that don't require translations were hidden from the Launchpad translation interface and statistics (translation files are preserved if they existed)
There is still time to complete the translations of the main modules in time for the release, especially if you can coordinate with other translators.
See also the links in my previous email (quoted below) if you would like to get started or need more info.
Currently, the top 5 translations for OpenERP Addons are Chinese (Simplified), Dutch, Portuguese, Romanian and Japanese, and the next ones are very close at 5-6k terms to translate.
For what it's worth, Erwin van der Ploeg (a major contributor to the Dutch translation) mentioned it took him roughly 10 hours to translate the first 1000 new 7.0 terms, with the help of Launchpad's suggestions[3].
The top 10 languages have a good team of translators, so they should be able to be ready in time for the final 7.0 release!
